Hello all,

I hope the New Year finds you well and that 2014 is off to a flying start  -  personally I can't quite believe that we're almost at the end of February already! Where does the time go? Well, maybe we'll try to answer that one another time!

I just wanted to give you a quick update on the latest deal on Kindle for The King's Park Irregulars which is now priced at only £0.99 in the UK, and only $1.65 in the US.

So if you're keen for some light hearted crime reading, I thought i'd be helpful and give you the links so you can get straight over to add it to your Kindle (or your phone / tablet with Kindle App)  :

If you decide to give it a go let me know what you think and thanks for your support!

Infernal Machines

Hello all,

Here we are again rushing towards Christmas, however the title for this post has nothing to do with my reaction to the sticky tape dispenser while wrapping presents (well, maybe a little).

Just a quick update to let you know about my recent post on the excellent English Historical Fiction Authors website, which you can find here  :

http://englishhistoryauthors.blogspot.co.uk/

It concerns a crime of particular malice which took place in Victorian Edinburgh in 1882 and I hope you find it of interest.

Best Wishes,
David

Back to work...

Hello all,

As the chill of Autumn starts to engulf us yet again, I can't believe it's been almost a year since I added any update to my website!

After taking some time off from writing following the birth of my son late last year, I am now getting back into gear and work is under way again.  I would like to say a big thank-you to everyone who has bought my first two books, The King's Park Irregulars and Sherlock Holmes and The Case of The Edinburgh Haunting. I really do appreciate your support and I hope you have enjoyed them and will recommend them to all your family and friends! Even if you have not enjoyed them then perhaps recommend them to your enemies? Just a thought...

So, what next?

I am currently doing research and starting to write the first Detective Morthouse novel which should be available from early 2014.  The book will be set in Edinburgh in the year 1882 and all going well will have a healthy dose of crime and sinister goings on which are taking shape at the moment. The Victorian period was such a fascinating time and one in which I have a great interest so this is proving to be a very enjoyable project.

The only other piece of news is the addition of the Contact Me page on the site here so if you'd like to get in touch, please feel free and i'd be pleased to hear from you.

For anyone visiting Stirling this weekend for the excellent Bloody Scotland crime writing festival, I hope you have a great time and make the most of everything Stirling has to offer.

Best Wishes,
David

Hello all,

I am pleased to say that my new book, Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Edinburgh Haunting, is now available to buy in paperback and ebook formats from, well, everywhere! Please take a visit to Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com, or if you have a preference then you can buy it in the UK from Waterstones, or in the US from Barnes and Noble. But i'm sure you get the drift...

If you would like to know more about the book then you can head over to the publisher's website, MX Publishing, or have a look at these reviews from the very kind Fiona-Jane Brown and David Ruffle on their excellent websites  :

Interview...

Hello again,

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are managing to keep out the cold on these dark Autumn nights. This seems to be a good time of year for writing as it's getting too cold and wet to be out and about!

With the approaching publication of my Sherlock Holmes novel, I was recently interviewed by Brandy Schillace for her excellent website.  You can read the interview here...

A big thank-you to Brandy for the chance to feature on her site.

More news soon...

Best Wishes,
David
